Great organized process you have.Nataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10391621005439871907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422580565739468359.post-6799045525272114962009-11-29T12:07:40.732+00:002009-11-29T12:07:40.732+00:00Pippa, the loose ends are a matter of preference. ...Pippa, the loose ends are a matter of preference. I used to unravel them and then tie them into a knot, sometimes I would thread them through a large needle and then pull them back through the serged seam. Know what I do now, after six years more experience? Tug them slightly then snip them close to the edge, I've yet to have one unravel :)

My sewing machine has a dial on top to adjust the presser foot pressure, I always turn it as lose as it can go when sewing knits. It would be worth a try if you can do the same on yours, I find it helps a lot.

Ruth, thanks :) It doesn't really take a lot more time to do six than it does to do one, I always make my kids jammies in batches so I've gotten good at it now!CKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577362737983348392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422580565739468359.post-65371382130230844842009-11-28T00:58:26.267+00:002009-11-28T00:58:26.267+00:00Such cute nightgowns! It's when I use my sewing machine that I find sewing stretch fabric is tricky. It seems to squish it under the foot too much and I'm not sure if I can release the pressure of that or if there's another way.Pippahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14408966937409943839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422580565739468359.post-75104298128443998202009-11-27T09:39:24.020+00:002009-11-27T09:39:24.020+00:00Thank you :) Pippa, my serger is my best friend wh...Thank you :) Pippa, my serger is my best friend when it comes to knits. When I started sewing it was all I had so I had to figure out how to do *everything* from seaming to hemming with it. It limited what I could make but it also got me over my fear of knits very quickly lol! Do you use one?CKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577362737983348392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422580565739468359.post-24036525267692354362009-11-27T05:53:30.697+00:002009-11-27T05:53:30.697+00:00Very cute nighties. I'm finding sewing stretch fabric very tricky, so it's great to see close ups of how you've done it.Pippahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14408966937409943839noreply@blogger.com
